Letting negative thoughts go
Sometimes our thoughts can get a little 'sticky' and can hang around. It's not the best feeling when these are negative thoughts and we can get into a rut. Here's some tips on letting those thoughts go.
Helping your teen manage anxiety
Three Tips to Help Your Teenager Manage Anxiety
Encourage Open Communication: Create a safe space for your teen to talk about their feelings without fear of judgement. Let them know it’s okay to feel anxious and that you are there to support them.
Promote Healthy Habits: Encourage regular exercise, balanced nutrition, and adequate sleep, as these can significantly impact anxiety levels. Limit technology use and encourage your teen to take part in activities that promote mindfulness, such as spending time in nature.
Model Calm Behavior: Teens often mirror the behaviors of their parents. Demonstrating calm and composed reactions in stressful situations can help them learn to manage their own anxiety more effectively.
For parents looking for more in-depth strategies and expert guidance, we recommend our 'Resilience in Our Teens' course. Written and presented by experienced psychologists, this course offers invaluable insights into understanding and supporting your teen's mental health.
